Jávea is a very cosmopolitan and the local people are friendly, respectful and endearing. It's like three towns in one- the Arenal beach area, the port and the Pueblo, the old town. Having dinner in the old town provides a totally different ambience to anywhere else in Jávea.
There is an abundance of quality restaurants, with a wide variety of dishes, catering also very well for vegetarians, vegans and for those requiring gluten free.
Jávea has cliff top walks, with spectacular views and a short drive away you can be in the national park in the mountains. The coastline offers wonderful scenery and caves to explore.
Jávea has wonderful weather all year round. It has a micro climate of its own. It is often sunny when climate around is inclement. It doesn't mean that it has very low rainfall, but unlike other towns in the Costa Blanca it has its own desalination plant which ensures water for all of it inhabitants. In summer it's cooler than the Costa Del Sol and interestingly warmer in the winter.
